Road to REV Major (The Annex, SM City Davao)

Do you like fighting games? Well, REV Major is just that. It is an event where all the fans of fighting games such as Tekken or Streetfighter converges. Road to REV Major is one of the 5 legs where players will compete and if wins, they will compete in the Main Event on September 17-18, 2022 at the SMX, Moa. What is good about it is that all expenses are paid from flights to accommodations.

The event was held last August 27, 2022 at the Annex, SM City Davao. It is generous of Gariath Concepts to have granted us access to the event (Thank you Boss J). Going back, the event was attended by not only players of the FG Community in Davao but also the neighboring cities like General Santos, Tagum, Digos and as far as Cagayan de Oro.

There you have it guys! If ever you are in Manila on September 17, feel free to go over SMX Moa and cheer for Davao (Hehehe). This will be a big event and this will be a success.

PCWORX new location

August 22, 2022 – We were invited to the soft opening of PCWORX branch in JP Laurel Ave. It has a very good parking space and a bigger, wider store. When you get inside, it is spacious and bright. You can see all the PC parts you need on display and what’s good? They have competitive prices, not just in Davao but nationwide. The manager said that their price is the same as what you see in Manila, Shopee and Lazada.

PCWORX is not behind in terms of gaming. They have a wide variety of Gaming Gears, Tables, Chairs. In fact, in the coming weeks, they will be showcasing a whole ROG set up from the rig, to the monitor, to the chair and table. We will be there to cover it, of course.

For Davao City to have another shop that is also competitive in stocks and in price, this is a treat for all the local enthusiast community. That means, Davao City is becoming an IT hub in Mindanao and the brands know that. So, if you want to upgrade, buy a whole new set or just update your wish list, you can visit PCWORX located at the CVA building along JP Laurel Ave.

Mini Tuplok!

Last July 31, 2022, we were invited to a mini event. The 2nd Tuplok! hosted by Davao Mechanical Keyboard Group. It was a fun-filled event that showcases different and unique keyboard builds in the city. They said that it is only a mini event but the turn-out is quite “phew” a lack of a better term, jam-packed.

From an enthusiast level build to a collector’s item, they have it in the event. What caught my eye is the 2 cyberboard and 2 sat75 present in the event. Though the 2nd sat75 is still unbuilt, still, just the box would render you speechless. Because, why not, the price. Haha.

Another interesting thing is a new Keycap Artisan is present. Sculpkeys. It is a davao-based artisan with very good creations. Its first keycap is called “Oni” and it sold over 60 pcs since they debuted last July 21. Check them out in their fb page, Sculpkeys.

That’s it. That was a nice and quick getaway event. Just a few hours of geek fun and a lot of new things that we learned while we were there. To the next event!

Nvidia Gamer’s Gathering 2022

Once again, we are invited to cover an event that showcases the latest GPUs in the market. It’s been 3 years since we posted something new. Pandemic happened. But, good news everyone! We are back. And hopefully we get to see more and more events just like this.

To start, this is an NVIDIA and PCWORX event that welcomes all gamers to see their stuff. There were food, drinks and giveaways. We went there early because they said event starts at 4PM. I had a feeling that it won’t but we were excited because it is the first face to face end-user event after the pandemic. Registering is easy, put your name and they give you a bracelet pass to enter the bar. This is where you register for the raffle to (and they have lots of prizes).

After the registration, we went inside. There were booths, food, and the dance floor. A lot of PC brands came in partnership with PCWORX. Asus ROG, MSI, Colorful, Gigabyte Aorus showcased their own products. A lot can really happen in a short period of time (3 years), especially when talking about the latest technology. Colorful gave away a GTX1660 ti and 1 (one) lucky dude got it. (hahahaha).

After the eating, checking out the booths and partying, we ended the night with interviews. Check the Video below for a visual recap.

A glimpse of Daymare 1998

This is a Resident Evil – inspired Horror game. Daymare 1998 takes place in Keen Sight, Idaho, where you will play 1 of the 3 characters (Liev, Raven, Samuel) and do missions for H.A.D.E.S. (Their version of S.T.A.R.S. maybe). I am a big fan of horror games but this game really gave me the Resident Evil feels. And it happened in 1998, the year where the G-Virus break loose in Racoon City (Resident Evil). What are the odds in that?

I played as Liev, I started in the helicopter scene and had missions in a facility where there are zombies and other creatures (mutation i think). The game play is somewhat similar to other RPG but I was struggling with the inventory menu, because it doesn’t pause the game. Hahaha! Anyhow, It’s a good game considering it is an indie game created by Invader Studios. It is now available in Steam for $29.99.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Final Fantasy 7 is a common name in a gamer’s world in the late 90’s. Cloud, Tifa and other members of the AVALANCHE will once again enter the center stage as Final Fantasy Remake will be release on March 2020 next year. The game is developed and published by Square Enix. Looking back to the late 90’s, I can’t help but reminisce the good old grinding days, finding ways to defeat Emerald Weapon.

OG Back to back champs! TI9

History has been made today as OG wins The International 9 championships. OG defeated Liquid with a 3-1 streak.

OG wins prize money of $15,497,524, thats P813,155,084. WOW!

TNC Predator (our all ph team) is at 9th-12th place with $681,210 (P35,743,088).

Butcher! The one and only

Ahh! Fresh meat!

These are the words that will creep you out in the early stages of the game! He is the original butcher and where Pudge of Dota came from.

I can say that he is the most difficult boss in the game. Hahaha. For many reasons like it is the 2F of the dungeon where your equips are mostly white and common. You don’t have that much gold to buy healing potions. And lastly, if you’re a newbie, you will panic most of the time.

How to kill Na Krul in Diablo Hellfire

Hello again! It’s me, lesterLL. I remember that the expansion of Diablo is a bit difficult. The Hive and the Crypt levels are more like the Hell level of the original dungeons. It includes 2 additional bosses namely Na Krul and The Defiler. I forgot to record how I killed the The Defiler but he was easy.

Na Krul in the other end is a bit tricky. What will you do if your class is a sorcerer and your monster is immune to both Fire and Lightning? Easy. Reflect Spell baby!! And with an additional support from Golem, it was an easy fight.

Diablo: Hellfire after 22 years

It’s been awhile since my first RPG game. Yes sir! Diablo was my first RPG game that I played in PC. Back then, the graphics are realistic (haha i know i know), the game play is overwhelming and the sound effects are scaryyy!!!!

I just want to show you guys, especially the ‘gamers’ who have not seen the actual game. Chose sorcerer because I want to name him Shaq. Hell difficulty because I am ‘experienced’. Hahahaha

I’ll continue to play this game until Diablo. Don’t worry I’ll keep on recording and give you the highlights.
